Active Matrix

This is a type of display technology used in laptop screens, and such displays are also known as Thin Film Transistor (TFT) displays. These displays are made up of OLED pixels deposited on a grid of transistors and capacitors. These transistors work as switches, enabling precise control of current flowing through the individual pixels. The response times in this type of screen are very low, meaning the pixels can be switched on and off very fast. This ensures that Active Matrix displays show sharp colors. They also consume comparatively less electricity.
