SCM

Company operations typically require that raw materials be bought from suppliers, be assembled or manufactured, and the finished goods dispatched to customers. The entire link from supplier to customer is what is known as the supply chain. For organizations that want to create a competitive advantage, one of the areas of optimization is the SCM segment that can lead to savings, and increase in efficiency, which in turn would mean happier customers. SCM software provides this ability; however, SCM capabilities are often embedded into ERP software.
