Beginning Part-4

“THEN,” he announced officially, “We’re going to round up each and every enemy survivor from our Medivac units, and we’re going to ship them all to a nice, cushy POW camp somewhere, you know, the ones reserved for partisans and hostages. After that, all we have to show for this debacle is a whole shit-load of human bodies. And we can get those cleaned up square away.
“So I want a report on the whole matter in forty eight hours, you understand, the very best possible report. From you, personally. I think it best that you maintain full control of this operation. No need to bring in any more outsiders at this point and you know well enough what needs to be done. Any questions?”
Brash Revitz’ had many, many questions at this point. He realized he was being set upon an alter for a scapegoat, and his sphincter puckered at the thought of a courts martial convened in his honor. “Yes, sir, I have one question... Wouldn’t it be appropriate to assign this mission to an officer of senior rank, sir?”
