A wireless standard developed by Nokia that is more energyefficient than Bluetooth. Wibree transfers data at 1 Megabit per second, but consumes about a tenth of Bluetooth’s power. Wibree is proposed to be used as a replacement for Bluetooth in sports sensors, smart watches, and health monitors, where power supply is limited.
