In timing mode, the pattern resources operate the same as they do in state mode. Not in common is the “edge event.” On one or more signals within a label, a low-to-high or high-to-low transition (or both) can be specified. If edge events are used together with a pattern, the trigger criterion is considered true when all “zero/one/don’t care” criteria are met and when the signals with an edge specification transition in the correct way. The desired trigger point can only be achieved by selecting the high-to-low edge of signal STROBE.
