Performance test systems

This type of testing is performed in the development phase of a project by the design engineer or by a highly trained technician. It is very similar to the design verification testing, except that the device being tested usually is very close to the final product. The test program and system can be seen as early prototypes of a production system. The performance test is concerned with how all the sub circuits will work together and what type of variance exists between a limited numbers of prototypes.
